Marilee in her Office

Marilee Admaski-Smith of Plover is a 37 year old graphic designer and the owner of Adamski-Smith Multimedia Solutions since 2010. Her home-based business provides multimedia services, including book cover design, video editing, web hosting, etc. A graduate of UW-Whitewater, she is also an artist, and the walls of her office are decorated with her artwork.

Marilee was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, which manifests as the failure to develop the four limbs before birth. She uses the computer primarily with a trackball mouse. Her chin scrolls the ball around and clicks in her commands with her chin. She uses one of her eight “mouthsticks” for answering the phone, grabbing a business card to typing on her keyboard. She can also type approximately 40 words/minute.

In 2008 she married Joseph Adamski-Smith.  Marilee also works with several disability advocate and support groups. Through those organizations, she’ll occasionally go to Washington, D.C., and Madison to advocate on behalf of rights of those with disabilities.
